BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-- Frank Wampol had a dark awareness when he stumbled upon some worrying information a couple of years ago: Over 5,000 male building and construction employees pass away from suicide yearly-- 5 times the number who pass away from job-related injuries, according to a number of research studies. That's significantly more than the suicide rate for guys in the basic population.
