A really distressed Stephen Colbert had a vibrant metaphor for the basic vibes on the last night before election day 2024 throughout his monologue on Monday's "The Late Show."
"We are all, in some real sense, ready to witness history, excellent or bad," Colbert stated. "I'm thinking this is how individuals of Pompeii felt when Vesuvius was attempting to get re chosen."
Continuing the joke, Colbert pretended to be an ancient Roman authorities, including "Okay, if the ash cloud goes that method, we commemorate. If the ash cloud heads towards us, everyone strike a cool posture. I'm doing Charlie's Angels."
