Hasan Minhaj Reflects on Losing ‘The Daily Show’ Hosting Gig
Hasan Minhaj is recalling at the gig that practically was.
In an interview with Esquire released Wednesday, the comic reviewed when being the front-runner to prosper Trevor Noah as the host ofThe Daily ShowAfter The New Yorkerreleased a profile in 2015 declaring that Minhaj decorated and comprised his onstage anecdotes for his funny, the deal for the gig was eliminated. Jon Stewart went on to change Noah, appearing on the program once a week.
"We remained in talks, and I had the gig, and we were practically excellent to go," he informed EsquireAfter the story was released, Minhaj was called and informed the task was no longer his.
