We Clicked on Katy Perry’s QR Code Tattoo
Katy Perry made a splash at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 11, and remarkably, it had absolutely nothing to do with her Who Decides War shredded-style bralette, her damp hairdo, her efficiency of her biggest hits, or the truth that she got the Video Vanguard Award. Rather, our eyes were glued to-- and we could not stop considering-- another small information: her lower back tattoo. While it appeared to be just a momentary addition to Perry's ink collection, the style was distinctly meta, including a QR code engraved in blank ink that left lots of people questioning what it goes to. (The positioning likewise looked like a deliberate improvement of the "tramp stamp" pattern.)
