Ex-employee takes legal action against CrossCounty Mortgage over age discrimination allegations
A previous local operations supervisor at CrossCountry Mortgage (CCM) is taking legal action against the business over claims of age discrimination and wrongful termination for her rejection to take part in prohibited activities.
Cent Smith, 61, submitted the suit in early September in a district court in Pennsylvania. She declares infractions of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the state's Human Relations Act and typical law.
A representative for CCM stated the business "does not discuss legal matters." Smith and her lawyer have not reacted to HousingWire's ask for remark.
Smith was a worker at the California-based retail loan provider LendUS, which she participated in November 2018. She transitioned to Ohio-based CCM when it obtained the company in 2022.
