America’s Sweetheart, the female-fronted, Jersey City-based indie-pop band, just recently revealed their most current single/music video, “Reject Beach,” a track from their upcoming album, One of A Kind

How would you explain your music?
We play rock-and-roll– each tune is its own little male. We are informing stories that are ours and truly, everybody’s.
Can you share the motivation behind “Reject Beach,” and the innovative procedure associated with bringing it to life?
‘Reject Beach’ is a classic, summertime memory of our guitarist, Val’s; she wished to compose an everyman’s tune. Val is from Woonsocket, RI and I went to high school in Newport, RI, which is a salted, beachy traveler town that brings a great deal of Rhode Islanders to work for the summer season to make some cash for the winter season. Valerie operated at a very popular dining establishment in Newport called Christies. The townies liked it therefore did the travelers. I believe the cooking area was downstairs, so you were adding and down these stairs with heavy trays of food and the table turnover was extreme. It was constantly hot for the waitstaff and kitchen area employees.
