“They do not like our nation”: Trump raves over half-mast flags for Carter

President-elect Donald Trump is not pleased that American flags will fly at half-mast to honor the late President Jimmy Carter throughout his inauguration.

In a post to Truth Social on Friday afternoon, Trump revealed his disappointment with the sign of grieving throughout his 2nd inauguration on January 20 and implicated Democrats of being gleeful about the optics of the corresponding ceremony.

“Democrats are all ‘giddy’ about our stunning American Flag possibly being at ‘half mast’ throughout my Inauguration. They believe it’s so fantastic, and are so pleased about it because, in reality, they do not enjoy our Country,” Trump composed. “Because of the death of President Jimmy Carter, the Flag may, for the very first time ever throughout an Inauguration of a future President, be at half-mast.”

The previous video game program host teased approaching advancements in the memorialization of Carter, who died on Dec. 29 at the age of 100, feigning unpredictability regarding whether flags would be reduced come January 20.
