Umar Nurmagomedov states Cory Sandhagen is his hardest battle
Regardless of Umar Nurmagomedov challenging for the bantamweight title at UFC 311, he does not believe Merab Dvalishvili is his most difficult battle.
Rather, Nurmagomedov believes Cory Sandhagen is still the most difficult battle of his profession, although Dvalishvili is the champ.
“It’s going to be arrogant if I state (Dvalishvili) is simple cash,” Nurmagomedov stated. “I believe he’s not. He’s a great fighter. Hardest difficulty in my department I believe is Cory. This battle was hardest in my life.”
Umar Nurmagomedov is 18-0 as a professional and coming off a choice win over Cory Sandhagen. In the UFC, Nurmagomedov is 6-0 with 3 wins by interruption.
Merab Dvalishvili, on the other hand, is 18-4 as a professional and coming off a choice win over Sean O’Malley to win the title. Dvalishvili is riding an 11-fight winning streak.
UFC 311 is set to happen at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California on January 18.
