Vanessa Hudgens and Julianne Hough are set to host The Oscars Red Carpet Showthe main lead-in to the 96th Oscars on March 10, airing at 6:30 p.m. EDT/3:30 p.m. PDT on ABC.
This marks Hudgens' 3rd successive years hosting the main Oscars pre-show, with Hough signing up with the starlet for the very first time. The 30-minute special will highlight candidates, entertainers and speakers and provide audiences a multiview experience of red carpet arrivals at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Leading into the main pre-show, ABC News will likewise air unique protection with a live Oscars pre-show, Countdown to Oscars: On the Red Carpet Live!airing from 1:00 -4:00 p.m. EDT/10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. PDT. The pre-show protection will likewise stream on ABC News Live up until the start of the Oscars event. ABC News anchor and World News Tonight weekend anchor Linsey Davis and Great Morning America weekend co-anchor and World News Tonight weekend anchor Whit Johnson will host live from the red carpet.
The program will consist of sneak peeks of the Academy Awards event, live interviews with candidates and speakers and an unique sneak peek of the Governors Ball after-party. Signing Up With Davis and Johnson, and making their Oscar reporting launching, will be GMA3: What You Need to Know co-anchors Eva Pilgrim and DeMarco Morgan, together with veteran ABC News reporter Chris Connelly, ABC News factors Kelley Carter and Mike Muse, Range senior awards editor Clayton Davis and star stylist Joe Zee.
On Monday early morning after the Oscars broadcast, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos will provide Cope with Kelly and Mark from the Dolby Theatre, which will include Sebastian Maniscalco, Elaith Welteroth, Jesse Palmer and a musical efficiency from Andy Grammer
The 96th Oscars will be hung on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
