View: Stranded calf fished out of England’s River Thames

Oct. 8 (UPI)– Firefighters in England concerned the rescue of a calf that fell under the River Thames and could not climb up back out.

The Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service stated teams reacted along with the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service after the calf was discovered stranded in the river near Temple Island in Henley.

“Using professional animal rescue strategies and with the aid of regional farmers, they effectively saved the young cow– in spite of some really dreadful weather,” authorities composed on social networks.

A video of the rescuer reveals rescuers paddling through the river on an inflatable raft to bring the calf back to coast.

“We want to thank the members of public for calling this in and waiting with the animal up until we got here that made finding it, a lot simpler for reacting teams,” the post stated.
